Sabrina J. Curtis, Ph.D.

Educator. Youth Advocate. Researcher.

 

Sabrina is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education and Human Development at the University of Virginia. Her scholarship focuses on civic identity development, the intersections of gender and social politics, and the civic and political engagement of Black women and girls.

 

Sabrina has expertise in gender equity in education and society, civic identity development, civic and political education, and youth advocacy and provides consultation in these areas. She holds a Ph.D. in Education and has teaching and research experience in education, youth advocacy, gender and sexuality studies, Black feminist theory, and African and African American women's literature.
